Lisa (lisa_saffeh)

Lisa has volunteered as a moderator and Municipal Liaison for the Toronto, Ontario, Canada region since 2016. She currently heads Toronto Writing Month (ToWriMo), a splinter group that was affiliated with NaNoWriMo.

When not reading or writing, she is probably wrangling with IT at a university, watching anime, taking a long walk, or solving crimes in Among Us.

I’ve got two kids, two cats and 13 years of experience with National Novel Writing Month under my belt. I’ve been writing and drawing for as long as I can remember. I’m honored to be this year’s volunteer artist.

I’m a software developer, and in my spare time I write fantasy novels. In particular, I like using local flora and fauna to create Australia-based fantasy worlds. My cat, Echo, helps in both my professional life and my hobby: she LOVES typing.

Rahma (rahma1007)

Rahma lives in the United Kingdom with her sister. She loves to play chess, read, and write fiction. She has been attempting NaNoWriMo since 2022, and hopefully will complete it this year!

Sophie Green (sophieg)

Sophie lives in London, UK, and first took part in NaNoWriMo in 2007. She quickly made a name for herself as an “over achiever”, and in 2012 she managed to write 200,000 words in just 30 days! She has taken part every year in November, always managing to write at least 50,000 words each year, and has written a cumulative total of over 1.5 million words. In 2015 she became a Municipal Liaison (ML) for the London NaNoWriMo region, and she set up the Associated Writers of London (AWOL) in 2024, leading the region into the post-NaNoWriMo era.

Outside of writing she’s a former Civil Servant, where she spent 15 years working for the UK’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office. She’s now partially retired, working part-time in a local secondary school.

She owns more books than she has time to read, more DVDs than she has time to watch, and more videogames than she has time to play. She likes Doctor Who, JRPGs, and board games.

East cost of Canada, I’m a budding (late career change) cyber security professional, who has been dabbling in writing since a kid. Done the NaNoWriMo for over 10 years now, never finished but have always enjoyed the journey! Outdoors guy, with 4 dogs; 1 goldendoodle and 3 aussiedoodles.
